About Us
HealthyToys.org is based on research conducted by environmental health organizations and other researchers around the country. The Ecology Center created HealthyToys.org and leads its research and development. The Ecology Center is a Michigan-based nonprofit environmental organization that works at the local, state, and national levels for clean production, healthy communities, environmental justice, and a sustainable future. A number of groups either provided data for or participated in the release of HealthyToys.org. Click here to learn what's going on in other states and visit their websites.
Special Thanks
HealthyToys.org would like to extend a special thanks
to Tree Town Toys, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Please visit their store
online at http://www.treetowntoys.com/ or at http://brainstationtoys.com/.
HealthyToys.org would not have been possible without the dedication and
contribution of many individuals and organizations. We would like to specifically
thank our product testing partners, Center for Environmental Health (California) and Clean New York.
Also, we are grateful to Shayna Samuels and Glenn Turner at Ripple Strategies, Justin Laby and Alex Ade at Mouko, Inc., Margie Kelly with SAFER, Myra Klarman at Myra
Klarman Photography, Matt Grocoff
at GreenovationTV, and Carrie Hensel and Alaine Karoleff at Inner Circle Media for all their help.
And, finally, many thanks to our fantastic toy testing team: Andrea, Kate, Rachael, Domingo, Alyssa, Lauren, Kiley, and Annie!
The Ecology Center greatly appreciates the generous support of the following funders who make HealthyToys.org possible: the Beldon Fund, The John Merck Fund, the Johnson Family Foundation, and The Kresge Foundation.
